10 Innovations that led to 300 Million
In September BusinessWeek had a series of online items in anticipation of the US population hitting the 300 Million mark. One of them was an interesting list of 10 key innovations that helped get us there. They have a fine list I think, though one could easily come up with another list of 10 (or even 50) that could rival the ones they chose. And that great volume of important innovations in the past 200 years is what is really striking.

As someone who takes blood pressure medicine on daily basis that is the innovation that most effects me. Air conditioning and frozen foods are very very important. It is worth noting that some of the readers of this blog were at a living memorial to one of people who made it possible to have oranges all year round. Refrigrated freight cars made this possible. Chapman who founded Chapman College where the Objectivist Center Summer Seminar was held.
